We are honoured to announce that Brendan Williams, our Founder and the longest-standing advocate of Building Heroes, has been nominated within the Business Community Impact category at this year's esteemed Soldering on Awards, 2024. This incredible recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and unwavering support of everyone involved in Building Heroes and most importantly, a testament to Brendan.
Over the past decade, Brendan has set out to to introduce training, mentorship, civilian qualifications, and employment support, creating pathways for service leavers, veterans, reserves, and military family members seeking careers or further training in construction. He has been at the front and centre of Building Heroes since day one, and he has developed an incredible team of individuals around him who all share the same mission and vision for the charity.
The Soldering On Awards brings together the whole Armed Forces community and recognises outstanding achievements. The awards go beyond one night of celebrations, they are a collective commitment to supporting individuals, businesses and charities who go above and beyond to support military personnel.
The spectacular award ceremony is due to take place on Wednesday 16 October 2024 at the Park Plaza Westminster, hosted by Jeremy Vine. The whole team wishes Brendan and the other finalists the best of luck.
Alongside the Soldering on Awards, we are also finalists in The Charity Awards and The Construction News Awards. These award nominations reaffirm the impact of our mission, in which we strive to make meaningful differences in the lives of those we serve.
Join us in celebrating these milestones and reflecting on the journey that has brought us here, as we continue to work towards a brighter future for all.
